Lower Silesian Centre for Laryngology and Plastic Surgery
YEAR

competition entry – 2014

DESCRIPTION

Lower Silesian Centre for Laryngology and Plastic Surgery has been designed as an ideal combination of medical and representative administrative functions. The aesthetics of a modest, minimal architecture is closer to small office buildings or tentment houses than medical facilities. Natural palette of colours from white to light grey and simple geometry of external walls is combined with large glass elements and greenery. The last floor has wider windows and soft architectural details to make the volume lighter and decrease the scale of the building. Entrance zone – integrated with bistro and waiting area is highlighted by intense, vivid colours. There is two-storey roof-garden in second and third floor as an informal rest space for patients and personel.
